the inner west’s inaugural field day

Learn everything you need to know to get started in beekeeping at the largest beekeeping event in Sydney’s Inner West, hosted by Inner West Beekeepers.

Our Field Day is a free event open to the general public and aimed at beginning beekeepers, those who are curious about bees, or those wanting to increase their bee knowledge. This will be a one stop shop to learn about the basics of keeping European honey bees and Australian natives. The full day event will include informative talks by knowledgeable beekeepers on everything you need to know to get started, workshops with live hive demonstrations, a free BBQ, a market selling local products and beekeeping supplies and lots more. This is a free drop in event – just look through our programme and see what takes your fancy. Please wear a hat, enclosed shoes, long sleeves and long pants if you wish to participate in activities involving hive demonstrations.
